About the opportunity

Dentons Luxembourg is currently looking for a Trainee with a keen focus on either Direct Tax or Indirect Tax to expand our Tax practice. 

The Luxembourg team provides a full range of legal services, with a particular focus on corporate, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, tax, investment funds, banking and finance, structured finance, real estate, and restructuring, insolvency and bankruptcy. 

About the Role 

  • Preparing deliverables related to tax compliance services (e.g. corporate tax and VAT returns) for an identified clients portfolio, with the guidance of our teams of tax specialists
  • Liaising with tax authorities to discuss client issues
  • Learning about compliance obligations and timelines, rights and obligations of taxpayers, and Tax/litigation issues and procedures
  • Working on tax opinions, circulars, as well as legal research in the tax code or in double taxation treaties
  • Participating in the development of the Tax practice
  • Working in collaboration with other departments to provide the best service to our clients
  • Receiving regular feedback offering guidance to help ensure your constant development

About You

  • Enrolled in a Master’s degree in Tax Law, Accounting or from a Business School
  • Fluent in French and English
  • Proficiency in Excel and MS-Office software
  • High levels of proactivity, accountability, and energy
  • Good stakeholder management skills, ability to learn and develop
