We are looking for a Legal Counsel R&I – M/F, based in Paris Saclay or Utrecht on a permanent contract (CDI).


 


Main responsabilities :



  • Provide expert and legal advice and support to the R&I teams dedicated to QFS on projects, always ensuring aligned wow with R&I Legal.

  • Draft, negotiate and validate service, collaboration, research, development and partnership agreements.

  • Liaise with the business and third parties to ensure compliance with external laws and internal regulations as applicable, always securing full application of Danone social and sustainability principles, ethical code of business conduct of Danone and Compliance rules (HCS Directive, Code of Conduct, GDPR internal policies…).

  • Contribute to the team to guard the Contract Policy.

  • Engage with procurement teams on purchase of goods and services for R&I QFS.

  • Provide support to R&I teams (locally and cross border) in R&I related projects that are not directly or solely linked to QFS


Key deliverables :



  • Deliver draft agreements linked to QFS & R&I projects and drive them to execution.

  • In collaboration with the rest of R&I Legal team, ensure compliance and other company policies are met and animated

  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations in all activities where personal data is involved

  • Actively contribute as a team member in specific projects led by the Legal Department or where the Legal Department is part

  • Timely escalate risks where relevant


Main interaction (global/ local) :



  • Become a solid business partner for the R&I QFS teams

  • Actively interact and involve other functions where needed to achieve results (C&P, Finance, HR…)

  • Work together with the C&P team in all matters linked to purchase of goods and services of R&I QFS

  • Interact with global teams such as Corporate Compliance, Data Privacy, Regulatory Teams… and ensure alignment in the wow

  • Interact proactively with global legal R&I team, global Regulatory teams, IP and Patents teams where needed.

ABOUT YOU



The criteria belowremainindicative. A candidate who has a different combination of experience and skills could also be considered.



  • Education: University Law degree (Master)

  • Deep knowledge in contract drafting and negotiation

  • General knowledge on compliance matters, intellectual property and patents

  • Ideally: expertise in quality & food safety related topics

  • Critical skills: eye to detail, proactive, flexible, ability to identify issues and to timely escalate them, solution oriented, ability to handle multiple projects at once.

  • Specific expertise: legal counsel, quality and food safety, R&I.

  • Languages: English fluent, French preferred.

  • Location of the vacancy: Paris Saclay or Utrecht.
