About the role

The Legal team turns complexity into clarity by partnering with teams across Revolut to provide sharp, practical advice that helps the business move fast while staying protected. From structuring credit programmes to navigating new markets, the Legal team ensures growth is secure, compliant, and built for the long term.

We're looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to manage internal and regulator-led investigations. You'll oversee enforcement proceedings, wherever they arise, and dive into legal issues across multiple jurisdictions.

Up to shape what's next in finance? Let's get in touch.

What you'll be doing

  • Advise the business on a range of contentious regulatory issues across multiple jurisdictions, from inspections and enquiries to enforcement, appeals, and strategic projects

  • Managing aspects of complex matters, from shaping strategy referencing specific legal risks to coordinating disclosure, collection, and production of materials

  • Liaising with external counsels and managing legal spend

  • Supervising Legal Counsels, and instructing external legal advisors to ensure the smooth running of a range of sensitive matters

  • Building relationships with a wide range of internal stakeholders, identifying and collaborating with key SMEs during live investigations

  • Capturing know-how, identifying opportunities for training and knowledge sharing

  • Implementing and actively seeking new scalable processes to support the Legal team, with a specific focus on integrating AI

What you'll need

  • Fluency in English and French

  • Impeccable attention to detail and excellent drafting skills

  • The ability to handle complex matters in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience advising on contentious legal and regulatory matters in financial services, both locally and under European law

  • Experience developing and supervising top legal talent

  • An interest in developing new technological solutions to make the team’s processes and functions more efficient

  • Exceptional sense of autonomy, proactiveness, and determination

  • Excellent organisational skills, and an ability to manage multiple projects at once

Nice to have

  • A master’s degree in business or financial law from a top-tier university

  • 5+ years of experience in complex regulatory investigations and litigation, gained at a law firm, or in-house at a financial institution or regulator

  • To have passed the bar exam (Certificat d’Aptitude a la Profession d’Avocats)

  • Experience providing outstanding customer service to a range of stakeholders and forming great working relationships

  • Excellent analytical skills and an ability to demonstrate sound business judgement, even in ambiguous situations
