POSITION


 


Loro Piana is currently seeking an enthusiastic and proactive IP & Brand Protection Specialist to join our Intellectual Property Team, based in Milan. This role will report directly to the IP & Brand Protection Manager and will operate within a collaborative environment that fosters curiosity and professional growth.


The IP & Brand Protection Specialist will actively support the Manager and the legal team in various intellectual property-related activities, working closely with internal teams to address a wide variety of business-critical IP matters. This role will provide support at both headquarters and regional levels.


 




JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


 



  • IP Strategy Support: Under the supervision of the Manager and with the support of external providers, contribute to the implementation of global IP strategies and worldwide IP portfolio, supporting the effective clearance, registration, maintenance, and enforcement of trademarks, designs, copyright, patents and domain names. Provide relevant advice and updates to the business.

  • IP Infringement Support: Based on global and regional strategies, support monitoring and actions against third-party infringers, including the preparation of cease-and-desist letters and settlement agreements. In enforcement or litigation contexts, assist with preparing instructions for external counsel and gathering and presenting evidence.

  • IP Contractual Support: Assist in the review and negotiation of transactional documents, including joint development agreements, framework (sales or supply) agreements, Intellectual Property licensing agreements, agreements relating to sponsorship, production of events and contents (e.g., adv campaign), agreements with talents and content creators.

  • Internal Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal business stakeholders (including product, R&D, supply chain, events, contents, social media, and PR teams) to identify and mitigate Intellectual Property risks, under the guidance of the Manager.

  • Research, Reporting & Presenting: Conduct IP-related research, prepare and present summaries, reports, and analyses for the Manager and other key stakeholders.

  • Compliance Assistance: Contribute to ensuring compliance with relevant Intellectual Property laws, regulations, and internal policies across the organization, assisting in the development and implementation of Intellectual Property policies and training programs for employees.

  • External Counsel Collaboration: Support collaboration with external law firms as necessary for specialized legal support.


 




PROFILE



  • Law Degree

  • Qualified lawyer in Italy will be considered a plus

  • at least 3 years of experience in Intellectual Property law, preferably gained in a law firm or in-house within structured environments

  • Familiarity with the dynamics of in-house legal work and the ability to integrate into a corporate team

  • Fluency/proficiency in Italian and English (oral & written)

  • Good knowledge of Italian and European Intellectual Property laws and regulations

  • Ability to support the drafting and negotiation of IP agreements and provide legal advice on IP matters
