Intellectual property and technology law is at the core of any major business transaction or strategic dispute and has become one of the most critical legal areas as companies continue to expand and protect their technologies, brands, products, data and services around the globe
Our team works on high profile and complex mandates for both major users and suppliers of technology related services, as well as more general commercial work and large scale data protection and privacy matters. Clients range from larger retail and investment banks, airlines, retail groups, telcos, FTSE 100 companies and IT/outsourcing service providers.
The workload is varied and includes contentious and non-contentious advice on intellectual property, data protection (including GDPR implementation), large scale outsourcing projects, cloud and digital transformation and services contracts.
The successful Intern would ideally be involved in a broad spread of work, including major outsourcing projects, cloud services arrangements, commercial projects, data privacy and security advice and projects, and various IT, telco and technology related matters.
Duties include also:
* Research on legal and commercial issues;
* Drafting and reviewing contractual documentation and legal memoranda on broad area of IPT topics;
* Assisting with IP prosecution, licencing and disputes/infringement cases.
