We are recruiting for a Marketing & Business Development Manager for our Paris office, which is made up of more than 350 people, including 180 lawyers.
Marketing & Business Development

The business development, marketing, and communications team is integral to the setting and achievement of the firm’s global client strategy, which includes guiding the partners and associates in their pursuit of becoming the clients’ trusted advisers, building and maintaining long-lasting, deep, institutional client relationships, winning new clients, increasing the visibility of the firm globally, and positioning the firm as the thought leader and most advanced law firm among the global elite law firms. The function works as one team across the globe with very close collaboration between the central groups, such as communications, and the professionals working in local offices, practice groups, sectors, and clients.


What you will do

Reporting to the Marketing, Business Development (BD) & Communication Department in France, you will actively participate in the definition and implementation of actions and strategies for activities in France and will be involved in the many cross-border initiatives, particularly in connection with our European platform.

As a true business partner, you will work closely with the lawyers and with the members of the Marketing team (BD, Communication, Events, CRM) in Paris and within the global network to define and implement actions and campaigns and monitor their ROI.

This will include:


Business Development

  • Define, with partners and collaborators and in conjunction with your international counterparts, the Marketing & BD action plans as well as the budgets for the teams and sector groups for which you are responsible.

  • Coordinate responses to RFPs and produce commercial proposals (pitches) in English and French on significant assignments and transactions. Redefine the processes, tools and best practices related to the commercial proposals whose quality you guarantee.

  • Write presentations and package service offers for customers and prospects.

  • Assist lawyers in establishing and monitoring relationships with strategic/priority clients and key contacts. Promote cross-selling within customer accounts and organize road shows.

  • Actively participate in the development and execution of European and global development campaigns and initiatives, sharing best practices.

  • Coordinate/carry out strategic and competitive intelligence on your various markets and customers, in order to detect and exploit new business opportunities.

Marketing and communication

  • Produce responses to submissions for recognized publications in the sector (rankings, awards, league tables). Manage response strategies and processes, coordinate their implementation and annual monitoring.

  • Design with the lawyers and the Events and Communication teams the strategy to be implemented to strengthen the branding and notoriety of your teams and sector groups.

  • Launch "360" content campaigns (publications, thought leadership, CRM, webinars, social networks, PR) in conjunction with local teams and global marketing centers of expertise.

  • Set up and analyze KPIs to evaluate the impact and ROI of initiatives, proposals and campaigns.


What you will have

  • Fluent in English and French

  • You have excellent interpersonal skills and are diplomatic

  • You are organized, rigorous and proactive

  • You have the ability to manage several projects at the same time and enjoy training and training yourself

  • Higher education in business school and/or Bac+5 (university, IEP, CELSA, etc.) with a speciality in marketing/business/communication and/or law

  • You have significant experience (6 - 10 years) in marketing or pre-sales functions, ideally acquired in an international B2B structure with high added value (consulting, finance, tech, etc.)

  • You have a very good knowledge of presentation and CRM tools

  • You have excellent writing and synthesis skills in French and English
