Comprising 1,650 researchers spread across 14 Research Centres around the world, our Global R&D team aims to continuously improve the quality of steel and its manufacturing processes. This involves investigating and developing disruptive technologies, reducing the carbon footprint of steel, and optimizing costs while maintaining uncompromising quality. The team's strong multicultural diversity, with over 30 nationalities, offers international experience and makes it possible to meet global needs.
IP/IT Legal Team is organizing partnerships and collaborations between ArcelorMittal affiliates and industrials, suppliers, institutes and customers to support the Company in its strategy of control, management and valorization of the new developments and new technologies and support Company in its relationship with software editors - notably with regards to compliance with data protection, and also has to manage GDPR activities. This team is also following related litigations.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to provide hands-on support to the existing team, and to further strengthen legal support across the Group's R&D activities, complex CAPEX projects, and high-profile M&A transactions.
Your role
The role is particularly important in light of the increasingly complex and evolving regulatory landscape in which these activities are conducted. You will bring both technical expertise and practical experience to support strategic projects.
As Senior Legal Counsel, you will provide legal support across a broad range of IP and IT matters, including contract drafting, negotiation and management, intellectual property protection and enforcement, trademarks, domain names, copyright, and technology-related transactions. The role will also cover emerging and strategically important areas such as cybersecurity, digital technologies, data governance, and artificial intelligence, which are becoming increasingly critical to the business.
