Descriptif de l'offre

As an intern, you will work closely with the Legal and Compliance Officers on a wide range of day‑to‑day matters and ongoing projects. You will collaborate with LFPI teams in Paris, Geneva, Frankfurt, and New York, as well as external stakeholders across the investment fund industry. This role offers practical exposure to legal documentation, KYC/AML processes, investor and investment onboarding, and corporate governance matters. Thanks to our human‑sized structure, interns take on meaningful responsibilities and gain a solid understanding of how an investment fund manager operates.

 

Based in one of the world’s leading fund hubs, the internship provides valuable insight into Luxembourg’s international and well‑regulated financial ecosystem. Cross‑border collaboration and multilingual communication form part of daily business, offering an excellent environment to develop strong foundations in legal and compliance.

  Main tasks and Responsibilities : 

 

Compliance & AML/KYC Support

  • Collect information on the legal structure of counterparties (investments and investors)
  • Support the onboarding of private equity and private debt transactions (AML/KYC aspects)
  • Analyse investment structures and identify Ultimate Beneficial Owners
  • Ensure documentation complies with Luxembourg regulatory requirements
  • Update AML/KYC files on counterparties
  • Record AML controls using dedicated software
  • Perform name‑screening via the Dow Jones Risk & Compliance database
  • Assist with AML/CFT risk analysis

Corporate Legal Support

  • Prepare corporate and governance documentation (powers of attorney, minutes of meetings, articles of association updates, etc.)
  • Support the corporate governance and lifecycle of investment funds and related SPVs 

Regulatory Monitoring

  • Track and summarise developments in Luxembourg legal and regulatory requirements

 

Skills/Profile:   

  • Minimum 4 years of legal studies, ideally with some exposure to business law, finance, or investment‑related topics 
  • Interest in the investment fund industry, private equity, private debt, or financial regulation 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; comfortable with IT tools 
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proactive, curious, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently as well as in a team 
  • English mandatory
