The role of the Senior Legal Counsel for EMEA is to:
- Act as trusted business partner to EMEA management team regarding the relevant business operations within the EMEA Markets/ sub-region.
- Strengthen the overall legal support experience for EMEA countries.
- Ensure strong collaboration with legal members of other regions and specialization.
- Contribute actively to the overall success of the MH legal function.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage all legal matters in relevant EMEA countries, including Global Travel Retail (GTR) and Private Client team covering commercial, regulatory, litigation and risk management issues.
- Strategic partner to the senior management team of the relevant region or sub-region.
- Collaborate and support other regional legal team members and manage external counsels across multiple jurisdictions.
- Draft and negotiate all sorts of commercial contracts including marketing agreements, service agreements, sales and purchase contracts, distribution agreements, outlets contracts, and all strategic transactions across the region.
- Ensure effective and consistent deployment of global policies while adapting to local legal and regulatory nuances.
- Act as the key liaison between EMEA countries and global legal leadership, ensure alignment and transparency.
