Your areas of knowledge and expertise

that matter most for this role:

  • Law or IT degree required; a postgraduate degree is a plus
  • CIPP/E or a similar data privacy qualification is an advantage
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in data protection, privacy compliance, and/or cybersecurity gained in international law firms, legal consulting firms, or in-house legal departments
  • Excellent English skills
  • Experience building and maintaining privacy frameworks in an international environment
  • Proven track record in coordinating strategic cross-functional projects and working with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of European data privacy law and emerging data and cybersecurity regulations
  • Structured, diligent, and process-oriented working style with strong organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills, sound legal and business judgment, and a strategic mindset
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal topics in a practical way

As Legal Counsel Data & Privacy Compliance, you’ll play a key role in maintaining, developing, and expanding Red Bull’s Global Data & Privacy Compliance Framework. In this position, the focus lies on strategic projects, global processes, and governance structures that support compliant data handling across the business. By translating legal and regulatory requirements into practical solutions, you’ll help strengthen a global Data & Privacy strategy spanning privacy, cybersecurity, and other emerging data laws.

All the responsibilities we'll trust you with:

  • In this role, you’ll support the execution of Red Bull’s global Data & Privacy Compliance Program by translating existing and upcoming legal requirements into actionable global processes and governance structures. Your work will help ensure a consistent and effective compliance approach across regions and business functions.

    • Working across a dynamic legal landscape, you’ll analyze new and emerging data privacy, cybersecurity, and data-related regulations and help integrate them into Red Bull’s compliance framework. In close collaboration with business units and stakeholders, practical guidance and global standards will be developed from legal requirements.

      • Together with internal stakeholders across Data & Privacy, Strategic Compliance, Legal Operations, IT, business functions, regions, and corporate projects, as well as external partners and law firms, you’ll drive strategic compliance initiatives forward. Strong coordination and communication will be essential to enable alignment and knowledge sharing on global developments.

        • A core part of your role involves drafting, reviewing, and updating internal data and privacy policies, standards, procedures, and risk assessments. Through clear and practical documentation, you’ll strengthen the company’s compliance framework and support sustainable implementation.

          • You’ll improve and support global processes related to data subject requests and data incident handling. This includes advising on request processes, supporting communication with data subjects, and contributing to structured and compliant incident response.
